According to the Corpus of Georgian Inscriptions by Nodar Shoshiashvili the symbol of abbreviation in the inscription N44 looks like a long, straight horizontal line. The grounds for giving a date to the inscription are to be found in paleographic evidence: შ grapheme has widely open top and bottom arches, and გ grapheme is inclined to the left without an additional horizontal line.
